Electrician - All Locations
FULL-TIME LICENSED ELECTRICIAN POSITION – METRO TRUCK GROUP, ALL LOCATIONS.
The Metro Truck Group is a full-service centre for all heavy truck and trailer needs, providing a large base of services across ten convenient locations. We are rapidly growing and, in our expansion, we are looking to add to our in-house maintenance team!
The Electrician is responsible for supporting all ten (10) of Metro Truck Group's locations. A successful candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment across our entire network of facilities. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and infrastructure at each dealership, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine wiring layouts
- Install new electrical systems and components as required, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate and complete tasks that require electrical expertise.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce the likelihood of electrical failures and improve the longevity of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, provincial, and federal electrical codes and safety standards.
- Assist with emergency repairs and respond to on-call requests as needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest electrical technology, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality service.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as set out by the Metro Truck Group of companies
- Uphold strong communication, organization and time management skills; ability to interact effectively with customers and all levels of staff
- General housekeeping duties
- All other responsibilities as assigned
Education & Qualifications:
- 442A Industrial Electrical License required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with local, provincial, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as required.
- A positive attitude with the ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
