Warranty Administrator - Hamilton Location

FULL-TIME WARRANTY ADMINISTRATOR POSITION – METRO TRUCK GROUP, HAMILTON, ON

As our trusted brand continues to evolve, the Warranty Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of warranty claims and related processes. The Warranty Admin position involves efficiently handling warranty claims, coordinating with manufacturers, ensuring compliance with warranty guidelines, and providing exceptional customer service. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills will contribute to the success of our dealership and the satisfaction of our customers.

Main Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Accurately and promptly process warranty claims according to manufacturer guidelines and internal procedures. This includes reviewing claims for completeness, gathering necessary documentation, and submitting claims to the appropriate manufacturer.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with manufacturers, including providing required documentation, resolving claim-related issues, and ensuring timely reimbursement.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized records of warranty claims, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate
  • Review every warranty repair order written for proper completion & accuracy
  • Flag the appropriate technicians for the hours earned on the operations they performed.
  • Check each repair order against the vehicle’s service history to avoid making duplicate claims.
  • Stay up to date with the latest warranty policies, procedures, and guidelines provided by manufacturers. Ensure dealership compliance with these guidelines and address any areas of non-compliance promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to customer inquiries and concerns related to warranty claims.
  • Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, parts department staff, and other dealership personnel to ensure efficient and accurate warranty claim processing.
  • Perform work with safety as a priority and abiding by all safety policies and standards set out by the Metro Truck Group of Companies
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures as set out by the Metro Truck Group of companies
  • Uphold strong communication, organization and time management skills; ability to interact effectively with customers and all levels of staff
  • General housekeeping duties
  • All other responsibilities as assigned

 

Education & Qualifications:

  • Refined time management skills, ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Demonstrate effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy, and familiarity with Windows and Microsoft programs
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the Warranty Clerk is required to stand; walk; bend; lift
