Used Truck Sales Representative - Hamilton Location
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Used Truck Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire used truck sales process; from prospecting and customer consultation to delivery and after-sale support. Main Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Promote and sell used trucks to retail, wholesale, and fleet customers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Provide accurate information on specifications, pricing, and financing options, and following through with the sales process by: skillfully participating in negotiations, assistance obtaining financing, securing payment, and title transfer
- Prepare and present quotes for customers
- Responsible for writing appraisals, and completing spec sheets on incoming inventory
- Required to prepare trucks for sale; key tags, spec sheets, UCDA report, Ownership history
- Schedule follow-up tasks with customers who have purchased and with those who have looked but not purchased
- Compile vehicle advertising information, such as taking pictures of trucks recently added to inventory, completing Advertising Spec Sheet, and submit to Marketing
- Move trucks around the lot(s) as required
- Follow up with the Service Department on repairs, as well as with the Wash Bay in regards to detailing
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as set out by the Metro Truck Group of companies
- Uphold strong communication, organization and time management skills; ability to interact effectively with customers and all levels of staff
- General housekeeping duties
- All other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in vehicle sales, preferably in commercial or used trucks
- Strong understanding of medium, and heavy-duty truck specifications and applications
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
- Valid G-class driver’s license required (DZ or AZ license is an asset)
- Must be able to travel between Metro Truck Group locations as required
- Position requires standing; lifting; walking; bending; sitting
